AIDSail Partners
CAFRA
(Caribbean Feminist Research and Action)
CAFRA is a regional network of feminists, individual researchers,
activists and women’s organizations that define feminist politics as a matter of
both consciousness and action. They are committed to understanding the relationship
between the oppression of women and other forms of oppression in the society,
and are working actively for change. CAFRA works as a network of women’s
organizations to research document and take action regarding the situation
of women in the region, influence policy regionally and internationally, support
programs for women’s economic self-sufficiency, foster dialogue towards
the development of non-patriarchal perceptions and structures, and promote
personal growth, efficient use of human resources, and sustainable development
of the environment. CAFRA is an autonomous umbrella organization working with
NGO’s in 16 countries in Central America and the Caribbean. CAFRA will
partner with AIDSail to provide program evaluation, and skills building, training
and workshops to its member organizations, local NGO’s and government
health personnel regarding lessons learned during AIDSail’s interventions.
